Soccer - Game of the Week

Another Game of the Week post, this time I will post about soccer. In my opinion, this week game was the Chelsea vs Arsenal. A game with lots of goals, emotion and change of winner. The MVP of the game was Robbie van Persie because he scored an hattrick.

MLB - World Series: St. Louis Cardinals are the Champions!

The St. Louis Cardinals are the World Series Champions after they beat the Texas Rangers 6-2 in a Game 7 of the World Series that couldn’t match the impossible drama and excitement of Game 6. The Rangers played hard, but their pitching staff simply ran out of gas, exemplified by the Cardinals’ fifth inning, when they scored two runs without getting the ball out of the infield -- without even getting a hit. Rangers pitchers walked three batters and hit two more, turning a 3-2 game into a 5-2 deficit. Critics will put a lot of blame on manager Ron Washington for the Rangers’ defeat, and deservedly so, but in the end the Rangers simply couldn’t throw enough strikes and couldn’t get the final out they needed in Game 6.
The Cardinals won the first World Series Game 7 since 2002 and brought home the 11th World Series championship in franchise history. They are the fifth Wild Card team, and the first since 2004, to win the title. David Freese was the series' MVP.

MLB - World Series: Game 6

Texas had two chances to clinch its first World Series title, but St. Louis (down to its last out each time) rallied in the ninth and 10th. The drama ended when David Freese, who forced extras with his triple, hit a walk-off shot in the 11th to force a Game 7.

MLB - World Series: Game 5

Mike Napoli delivered the crushing blow in Game 4 and returned to his wrecking-ball ways in Game 5 vs. the Cardinals, hitting a go-ahead two-run double in the eighth to position the Rangers within one win of their first World Series title.

MLB - World Series: Game 4

A night after Texas pitchers gave up 16 St. Louis runs, Derek Holland allowed two hits over 8 1/3 shutout innings to pull the Rangers even in the World Series(2-2). Mike Napoli's three-run homer paced the offense in support of Holland.
